It's been said that the best things in life are free and even the most jaded cynics would have to agree that BMW's Ultimate Driving Experience is one of the best things in life.

The fact that they bring nearly their entire lineup of vehicles out for the general public to hop in and driven around, with no supervision is just crazy. On top of that you can sign up to auto-x the 5 series or 2 series or both. I recommend both.

There's also a cute little hill descent demo with the X-5 that probably puckers the posterior of many a city slicker, as well as a traction control demo involving dish soap, a tarp and asldkfj

Sorry, I fell asleep describing the traction control demo, where was I?

Oh yes, BMW's Ultimate Driving Experience is the best time you can have in a bunch of new cars without paying for the pleasure of pedal punching some sweet metal.

If you've got the scratch you can shell out $650 for a full day of instruction from the very knowledgeable and pun loving staff. You also gain access to the tire killing class of M cars such as the M235i, M3 and M4. Why they don't include the M6 Gran Coupe I don't know but if they did, I'd set about pawning some items to get seat time in that beauty.

Hope you enjoy the trailer, full edit and article with car by car snap judgements will be up soon.

Cheers!

Andrew Maness writes about cars because he has one and also has a computer. He's been known to drunkenly Tweet as !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and upload photos to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . He also has a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and thinks talking about himself in the 3rd person is really weird but knows it's necessary if he wants to be taken seriously as an Opponaut.

$650? Thats actually not bad at all...

I was looking into this last year and Audi offered the cheapest driving experience at Sonoma for $1200.

The experience included a full day of instruction (8am to 4pm), lunch, a few exercises to learn how to control the cars on the track and track time with the TT-S, S4, S5 and RS5.

Yeah it's an insanely good deal. $650 doesn't even begin to cover the cost of the tires you get to destroy!

Haha yeah! Not to mention the brakes and insurance from the possible multi-car infernos.
